This new updated 2012 version includes the latest information pertaining to use and abuse of the so called “Legal High’s” such as Splice, K2, Spice, Bath Salts, Meow-Meow (Mephedrone), Salvia Divinorum, and Cahta, a flowering shrub native to northeast Africa and the Arabian Peninsula.

 The all day training includes inhalant abuse, over the counter drug abuse, pharmaceutical drug abuse, what’s new on the streets; long-term/short-term dangers of the new millennium/designer drugs, and the drugs used for drug facilitated sexual abuse and rape.  We will take in inside peak at the dangers of combining HIV/AIDS medication with these drugs and their relationship in the spread of HIV/AIDS and STD’s

 This course has been approved by the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services, Kentucky Board of Social Workers, Ohio Board of Social Workers, Family and Marriage Therapist, and Counselors. 

 Learning Objectives:

bullet Examine the history and attraction of the new millennium party/club/rape and pharmaceutical drugs.
bullet Explore the world of the internet home delivery and new “legal” highs.
bullet Identify the history, attraction, and tools of all the popular party drugs.
bullet Reflect on the dangers of responding to a possible overdose and long term effects.
