Continuing Education Credits Have you ever .... ? needed CEU's, but not had the time to travel, or take a day off to sit in a workshop or conference? Yes, the interaction among our peers is important ... we find out what works and doesn't work in other organizations and agencies, we develop important cooperative relationships, we learn how our professional organizations are working for us. Sometimes, however, it's just not convenient to travel or leave the office. Here's a way for you to get hours while you sit in your pajamas at 3:00 A.M.! Continuing Education Credit Great Lakes Training has entered into an agreement with the Indiana Counselors Association on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (ICAADA) to award Continuing Education Units to viewers of our staff training programs. ICAADA is the Indiana state agency for the IC & RC/AODA consortium that serves more than 70 certification agencies throughout the world, including the US Military, Canada and 44 states in the United States. Many state social work and other certification/licensure agencies also accept IC & RC hours for continuing education units. We are pleased to be able to offer this service to widen your choices for educational opportunities. For more information on ICAADA, visit them at www.icaada.org. All of the video programs eligible for CEU's are "live" workshops presented at various locations around the country, and were previously approved for contact hours by an appropriate agency. Initially we will provide the examination as either an MSWord document or PDF sent to you via email, which you may email back, fax or snail mail to us. Your certificate will be issued as a PDF via email. ICAADA is a charter member of the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium/Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse, or IC&RC. IC&RC is a not-for-profit, voluntary membership organization whose members are alcohol and certification boards. IC&RC includes 73 agencies representing more than 35,000 certified professionals internationally. Persons certified by ICAADA at a senior level are assured of certification in 44 states, the District of Columbia, 2 U.S. territories, and 11 global jurisdictions. IC&RC certification boards also include those affiliated with the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy and Marines, the Indian Health Services, the World Federation of Therapeutic Communities, and the U.S. Administrative Office of the Courts. ICAADA hours are accepted by many state nursing boards, as well as social work boards, employee assistance organizations and psychology boards. Please check your state board for its exact requirements. You can order the Post Test for each approved video on our "Staff Training" page ... the number of hours you'll receive for successful completion of the requirements, as well as the cost is listed with price of each of DVD.
